Hi, I’m Austin Claus. I am blessed to be married to my best friend Anna, and we have a beautiful 3 year old daughter named Amaya. I have 2 younger brothers and a younger sister who live near Boise, ID with the rest of my family. I’m a diehard Las Vegas Raiders, and Golden State Warriors fan who loves playing video games. Sales has always been a passion of mine because I love building real connections with people and enjoy making others smile and laugh.
Before coming to Family Heritage I began my career working in call centers where I worked as technical support and customer service for Verizon Wireless before switching to teaching people how to sell Medicare Advantage Plans in another call center. Before my daughter was born I also worked with Sportsman’s Warehouse selling firearms as a part time job. This launched me into sales as my next job was selling portable restrooms, temporary fencing and various other temporary site services in the construction and events field. I ended up leaving that job due to moving out of state and had a short stint in logistics.
In all my previous employment opportunities I had little to no job security and never had time for my family. I found myself working long hours to barely make ends meet throughout most of my young adult life. The career overview videos really checked every box I’d been looking for in a position, between the positive culture, advancement opportunities, business ownership and work/life balance it was a no-brainer. I am glad I made the decision to come to Family Heritage.
This career has transformed my self-image and outlook on life. I never realized the toxicity that became normal in my life due to the conditions and people I worked with on a daily basis. This career has allowed me to spend more time with my family while teaching me to look at every situation in a positive tone no matter what others may think or say. Prior to beginning here, the thought of being able to travel the world and provide the life I dreamed about having for my daughter had always seemed far fetched, and now they are realistic goals to set. Being able to build generational wealth by HELPING PEOPLE is something I never would have imagined was a possibility until coming here.
